Ok please don't think I am crazy! DH and I were working in the back yard cleaning up winters mess! Lots of dead and leggy branches to be disposed. Anyway I have about 5 feeders in the back and since it has been warm in So Cal they have all been filled and busy! So I hear the different whirling of a Rufous! I know it is early and normally I don't see one till Feb., but when it flew into the sun and I spotted the rufous coat and red gorget, yup that is a rufous. So I am getting the camera and will go out and sit a spell and try to get you all a pic.

Toodles,

Looking forward to that pic. I haven't seen much change in visitor count lately, but all my fruit trees are beginning to bud and bloom, so they must think it is spring already. I'll keep an eye out for anything other than Anna's. Like you, I always hear the sound before sighting them.

Edit: Sorry for the double post... the server had a strange error stating that it was "posted too fast" and therefore failed. That's a new one.

Well I sat out on the patio for over an hour yesterday, but our elusive friend did not come back. I will try later today.
