I was shocked to see a pair of robins last week pecking at some dirt. It was still very snow-covered at the time. They were underneath the overhang to my fireplace where there was some exposed dirt. Maybe this means an early spring!!!!

They never left here. They love the new heated bird bath.

I had 4 Robins last Saturday when we had our warm spell. Sure helped save some money, too. I was having to fill feeders daily & since the warm up & snow melt, haven't had to add since last weekend. Heard the Red Winged Blackbirds yesterday, too. It won't be long!!!

If the robins are om am area with plenty of shelter and enough food they don't always migrate and will stay put for the winter moving out to other areas during a warm up. I hear from several sources here in NY where people have small waves off and on during the winter months.
