I agree, they have a great catalog and so many wonderful plants. I had ordered quite a lot...many I had never grown yet...like some of the Vervain. It will be my 1st year with Cupheas too. I'll be attempting to overwinter some of the plants, and taking cuttings from others...both of which I have never attempted before...
Have fun choosing!

I guess I am the odd one this year. I have not ordered anything. I have been given some wonderful seed and I am going to go my best to get them going this year. I can remember a few years ago I was ordering anything mentioned that would attract a hummingbird. It was a learning experience and so much fun!!
I really don't know how all of you put up with me.

Sis & I ordered a huge order this week. Got all the same as Penny & then some. I'm hoping the Deep Blue is somewhat close to the color they show but I know how those catalogs can show inhanced colors. So far, Bustani has been right on the money though.
Dianne - we couldn't live without you, sweetie pie!
And thanks for the link to the Jan. post, Penny - that's one I'd missed. Yes, the blue vervain is beautiful. I assume you all will be taking it inside in the winter months, right? A zone 10 plant.
My wishes are -
Erythrina x bidwillii (Coral Bean Hybrid), Justicia 'Thema's Pink', Leonotis leonurus (Lion's Ears), Turk's Cap, & the Red cup-leaf Penstemon too.
Will have to wait and see what the Easter Bunny brings...
Good luck on your new selections. I am just itiching to plant some seeds but I know that we could have frosts until the end of April. I am going to do my best and put off starting any for a couple of weeks. I did break down and buy some of those mini-greenhouses yesterday. That did make me feel that I was going something positive.

Diana,
You will love the Erythrina bidwilli. It is a wild, exuberant monster(5X5 in one season)and the hummers went crazy over it. They also love to perch on the spent flower spikes. I planted two last year, but am not sure if they will come back. They should happily overwinter for you.Lots of sun seems to suit it best.
