HUMMER!

My friend and colleague had a hummer buzz her tonight as she sat on her deck. She lives near me in the central MIssissippi area. I wonder if it is an over-wintering bird since it seems early for the ruby throats to be arriving.

I would have to guess it is one that has overwintered and may be on its way west but any siting is a welcome sight.

Penny...your temp. is warmer than mine...that is NOT fair! I got up to a little over an inch of snow this morning. I think Mother Nature is suggesting I should move FAR to the south where they never haver Winter. Costa Rica is looking better all the time!

patric at 5:30 this morning it is 50 degrees but the temp is going to drop considerably by later today and for the next week and I am sure more snow will be in the forecast for us too. I have been saying for the past 18 yrs that I am supposed to be further south....lows in the 50's would be ok as long as the average high's were at least in the high 70's
