Just wanted you to know your seeds are not going to waste. I bought some of those 'mimi greenhouses' at Wal-Mart to start the them. They are nice and cozy in their incubators. Looking forward to planting them in the ground.

My donation/exchange is still wrapped up in gauze waiting to mature so they don't 'explode in the wind'! Luckily they are just behind a hedge of Allamanda cathartica which protected them.
Due to a really unusual weather system, things are not 'normal' here. We are still experiencing extremely strong winds that have totally ruined the leaves on all of my Crepe ginger and Costus stenophylus which were growing alongside the fence and all of my Canna x generalis which stood on either side of the driveway for at leat 30 mts.
All had to be cut down to the ground, plus other miscellaneous plants.
While none of these are real 'hummer draws' they did look lovely...and they will return!

Not to worry Patricia. The is plenty of time for me to plant seed.

Patricia, I remember those winds from my visit...sorry to hear they're still troubling your area. My friends in San Jose are complaining about the "cold" and rain. The weather sounds very unseasonal.
