Silene virginica blooming now?

I've been reading and learned that this plant has different forms. Does anyone have both to compare? Does one bloom earlier than the other? Do the hummingbirds have a preference?

I'm still on the hunt for early bloomers. I have silene regia and it's a long bloomer for me but doesn't start early.

I am trying S. virginica for the first time from seed this year Christie but Steve Kapusta grows it in Canada so he will probably post his experience with it.
