Rusty
You better put a leash on that male. They seem to want to wander to parts unknonwn after they arrive this year.

That's great news, Rusty!

I spent a lot of time growing up near you in Land O Lakes, my aunt had a home on a small lake. This was the place where I saw my first hummingbird since she had lots of feeders and there were always mobs of hummers on them!
It was amazing! Beautiful country up there in the U.P.

Happy hummer days!

Nice to hear they're settling in up north. [linked image]

My male was here (in western PA) for several days, disappeared for a few, then I saw him again close to nightfall, now haven't seen him again! A nice, long, monofilament tether--that's what I need for the little guy [linked image]

If he has any sense, he'll come back. I've seen two females today--one slim and graceful like a model, the other more Rubenesque. He can take his pick, but knowing hummingbirds, he'll go after both! [linked image]

Congrats to you Rusty!![linked image] I too have to join the crowd and say I have seen very few males since mine arrived mostly females when I do see one. I suppose they are still moving northward. Hope your sticks around.
