This is the first website I load each day, and lately a few times a day. The weather keeps changing quite erratically. Today calls for mostly cloudy 5% precipitation. Yesterday was just awesome, I got some sunburn on my face and lots of plants planted. I Forgot to use my SPF, its been so dark and gloomy around here lately. With all the rain my backyard was pretty soggy (envy you sandy loom people), so I had to wait until yesterday to begin planting. Some of the beds are still too wet. If I can get those tomatoes and veggies in the ground today, I will be a happy camper. TJust saw the RTH male on the Million Bells deck railing planters. These are nice, they are upright instead of flat and fit snuggly on the trex railing ledges. I'll have tp get a pic.

he Male RTH has been going almost solely to the Wally World feeder, so I changed it out for a pretty feeder and a Parasol topper to keep the rain out, so........you know he hasn't gone near the thing! He's back to the deck area where I brought the little feeder(better for viewing). Works for me! Think if I put that box of 32 Wally Wordd feeders out there he'd have a heartattack??? [linked image]

Ok, coffee breaks over! Back to work!

Pam I go to the weather channel or weather.com first thing too and then check it periodically to see the weekly forecast. We have had rain off and on for the last two days and my yard is now too wet to plant anything. I did move the large rack that I got from the store across the road out of the kitchen to the back where I can at least move all the flats in and out of the garage as needed. After today which will be high of 68-70 we are dropping back down to the 50's again during the day for a couple of days so no planting until this next cold spell passes.

Penny,

YOU got one of those indutrial strength racks??? I've been eyeing up Lowes. They have some way in the back...maybe they need some TLC and want to get rid of one??? I was at Lowes last night and a HUGE staple in a box grabbed ahold of my shirt and put two big holes in it. We had just came from Ruby Tuesday's so I was dressed better than usuual (fancy t-shirt) Anywho, the manager was nearby and asked what was wrong? I showed him and he is paying me for it today, he needs a receipt. MAYYYYYYBE i can guilt him into letting one of those go bye byes???

Pam
The rack I got was one that was used for display Of lipton products in the store but it is heavy steel and has the heavy duty locking wheels which makes it to keep it from rolling around if it is windy out. I was going to get one of those at Lowe's but kept waiting for them to put them on sale which they never seem to do. This rack is about the same depth and width of the mini greenhouse but it is about 6ft. tall with 5 shelves that I can raise or lower to suit the size of the plants and best of all it was free.

Yes, Pam I turn the TV in my bedroom to TWC before I get to the computer but Weather.com is the second site I visit every morning. The first one is my local page on WeatherUnderground where I check out the local and regional radar then I go to Weather.com, then I come here. [linked image]
We have had 6 1/2 inches of rain this week and it takes this yucky yellow clay forever to dry out. I have cabbage, squash, cucumbers, and one row of purchased Bush Early Girl tomatoes in the garden. I have Roma V and Rutgers grown from seed ready to go in the ground but it is too wet and we are suppose to have rain today, tomorrow, and Monday! My neighbor across the street was kind enough to cut my grass this morning. I pulled up some Black and Blues and gave him. I also promised to give him some Iris from the row at the edge of my veggie garden as soon as I can get in the garden to thin them.[linked image]

Linda,

I got my Tomatoes in the ground today, thanks to a little help from my hubby. I just molded the clay around the plants.....almost!! I was so sore today from yesterdays "Workout", I could not dig any more. He dug mounds and I planted. 5 Types of tomatoes and two peppers and brussel sprouts mmmmmmmmm can't wait! I soent the morning gardening and than my back and neck got so bad, I had to call it quits. I headed to "Michaels" to buy sme FAKE flowers to make my Mom a Mothers day present. She cant deal with watering anymore and I love when her front porch is adorned with flowers, so fake it is!

Pam, thankfully the rain held off until last night and not much rain then. I did get a row of Rutgers set out. I was able to put my new pineapple sage in the big hummer garden along with volunteer red four o'clocks and salvia (lady in red or coral numph?) that had come up in the veggie garden. I also dug up some iris for my neighbor which I stuck in a water pail. Now I just have to get them across the street before they rot.lol

I'm a Weatherbug fan myself. I get more accurate readings from them than I do TWC (aka Weather.com).

I really feel for the members up north with this cold spat. (It's been in the 90s here and I was complaining.)
