Hummingbirder 2008

What should I do now it takes ten years for a tree to grow about two story high.Anyone have a suggestion I have alot of salvias and couple of others flowers.Trees are not close enough together in my yard.

All I can tell you is to try and be patient. You said that the neigbor across the street had hummer have you tried hanging a feeder or two out in your front yard? I have them in the front, side and back. I only have one tree in my yard right now and it isn't one that a hummer would necessarily use but the neighbor behind me has trees

Yes,I do have A feeder IN FRONTof the house BY THE LIVING ROOM PICTURE WINDOW.IS IT NESSARY TO PUT ANOTHER ONE IN THE FLOWER PATCH FROM OF MY HOUSE .OH,YAH THERE ARE CARS GOING BY THROGH OUT THE DAY.I just talked to my nieghbor today they say there are two pairs going back and forth to thier maple trees.Trees are about two story high the nieghbors on both side of me are not close enogh together.The one the two pairs lives across the street from me. Any suggestion Penny.

Eldon, keep in mind that Ruby-throated Hummingbirds don't form pair bonds - what you have is the corner pick-up bar.

Eldon, are you sure you neighbors are seeing hummingbirds? If they are hummers, they will visit your yard. You could just be missing them. [linked image]
