Do Hummingbirds use a bird bath?
I am new to the forum as well as a new "feeder and fancier" of the Hummingbird.
I put our a feeder about 2 months ago and for the past 2 weeks have seen many visitors! I went out and bought another feeder yesterday! I feel giddy when they come and perch to feed...they are gorgeous birds!
Anyway, I am getting a bird bath today and am wondering if they will utilize it...or should I just plan on the mockingbirds making good use of it?

Never seen a hummer use a bird bath,but they do like flying through a mist of water.

It's Spring!

My brother in the Ft. Worth, TX area actually had a hummer bathe in his bird bath. Of course, it gets very hot there, so maybe it was desparate. But my brother was thrilled that he witnessed it.

I have never seen hummer use a bath but they sure like to play in the rain. I have been watching them playing for the past few days. Amazing!!

You can go to YouTube and look up hummingbirds and water or fountains and see a bunch using fountains, waterfalls, hoses, etc...
