Hay,I see a hummingbird at the feeder twice but two sparrows chasing it away.I begin to wonder they are causeing them not to stay here.Too many sparrows that I know for sure. What can I do about this problem.

Sometimes other birds try to drink the nectar from feeders. How many feeders do you have? If you only have one maybe you could get another inexpensive one and put that up. I have the goldfinches and the black capped chickadees that like to drink the nectar from my feeders so I hung a small bowl of very weak sugar water for them and now they leave the hummer feeders alone but every now and then they will still go to the feeders.

The hummer was not at the feeder it was down in front of the house where one of the garden is. I have two gardens larger one is in the back.At first it was at the feeder in front window that it flew at the garden than those darn sparrows chases it away.
I have bumble bees that have taken over all my hummer plants and the feeder. I now have only one hummzinger feeder, that I make sure is only 3/4 full, so that the solution won't spill over and they often try and monopolize that too. The hummers are all on guard when they come to the feeder and are often scared away half way through the feed. I guess, we are all having are unique brand of problems trying to keep these birds in our yards.
Good luck dealing with your problem.
