I usually see more robins when the grass is wet. They are able to get at the worms easier.

Yes, or turnover some new ground and see how long it takes robins to arrive.

... or put in a bird bath. Robins really love to bathe! They will bathe three at a time in my bath with the Water Wiggler. They seem to love it more than any other type of bird that I have in my yard.

I have never seen any of the robins in any of my bird baths. One has a pump but the others are stricktly bowls of water on a pedestal.

I posted this picture on the Feathered Friends forum- I planted the fuchsia Marinka baskets for my front porch and have seen the hummingbird at them only once this year, but the robin family liked them. I took the picture from my living room and have pretty much had to avoid the porch for a few weeks.

Thanks for the picture. I remember you telling me about Ms. Robin in the fucshia. That really is picture perfect. BTW all of my plants are doing great. As much as I hated to see the cooler wet weather looming over us is was perfect timing right after I got everything planted

Penny,
I'm hoping that now that the robins have left the nest the hummingbirds find it a quiet and tasty place to visit!

Thanks again for my plants, they are all doing well and I'm sure the rainy weather has helped them take hold.

By the way I got two different kinds of shrimp plants at a small nursery in Clarence and have already had a visit to them. I had never seen a shrimp plant before and now I have two!

Those Shrimp plants are awsome. You will enjoy them and cuttings root easily too but they may take a little time. Did you put them in pots or in the ground. They will get much fuller in the ground. Last year my plant was used a lot.
