Saw this plant in a test garden, large flowers less leaves, from The Ball Seed company. Looks promising, anyone trying this plant?

I am still working on getting the regular Russelia. I don't know if Ball of Fire is available on the retail level yet at least through online nurseries.

Carla,
I don't really know how plants would do mailing them without soil. I have mailed plants with the soil enclosed around the root ball with plastic wrapped around it. You really don't have to mail me any. I I have one little piece that I brought back from Florida when we were there in April that I am still trying to root. You never know it may eventually take LOL!

I did find that Ball of Fire will be introduced in 2010 so it isn't available to retailers yet.

New Russelia Equisetiformis Ball of Fire

Jana, That new one sounds like one I'd love to see! I saw a regular one in my local nursery that was completely full and very large. It was gorgeous. If I had not already bought a small one from Bustani, I would have been tempted but it was way too exensive. Mine is doing fine and filling out nicely. Iam glad I have at least one!

Do you have pictures of the new one?

I am still debating whether to order one from Sweet Nectar Nursery. I emailed her to see if she is still shipping.
