I discovered that if you clean the 97 cent Walmart feeders by filling them with boiling hot water you can then shape them into little useless little works of art.  Luckily it's not permanent.

What I wouldn't give for a dishwasher -- human or machine! I HATE doing the dishes.

I often wondered what would happen if I put one of those .97 feeders in the dishwasher...guess I won't be doing that, or they might cause a problem. I found that they are easy to clean with a brush and hot tap water and every few times a little bleach. However, I did find that some of the tops won't screw on after awhile so maybe I had put one in there and don't remember...(there is a lot of that going around in my life LOL).. Thanks for the warning - I won't be doing that again or using boiling water.
