Steve, it always amazes me that you have several ruby throated hummers sharing the same feeder! That never happens at my house. Very rarely two have shared a feeder, but I've only seen that happen once or twice.

I guess it depends on the quantity. If there were only two or three in the area they would not share but as you see there are enough here to make that effort useless. They like to congregate in the back, in the front yard theres mostly fighting.

I'm really jealous of your quantity, too. I'll be very interested in the hummer banding here next weekend. I want to see how many hummers there are in that location. It's a nature center, so of course there's much more to attract them than my yard. Still, it's the same city ....
