Lions's Tail

The Leonotis leonurus(Lions's Tail) obviously bloomed while I was bedridden, and now has lots of seed pods forming. Do I need to leave these to get very dry before removing them ? Or will a hummer still hopefully be attracted to the blooms on the drying pod?
I have no idea if there was any hummer use at all.

Patricia,
I don't have any experience with seeds for this plant, and I did not deadhead it. It bloomed in late August, and the hummers went completely crazy for it. I have planted one right outside the kitchen window in anticipation.
