Hummer treats

The driveways of two of the neighbors on the cul-de-sac have a part between them that is just rock so I added a 20 gallon container of Salvia Black and Blue to try and improve the look. The hummers absolutely love it and it does look better than just rock.

The other picture is the entrance to the house with the russelia cascading down the wall. The young hummers are out and about and we are getting frequent visitors. They really have enjoyed the russelia.

Gorgeous picture of a lovely nook. What a little paradise you have there. I bought Russelia this year, but it was a pretty small plant, and somehow I managed to kill it. Quite a disappointment. I'm blaming it on the horrible, cloudy, unusually wet weather we had in May. I have the perfect place for a Russellia, too, right above a 3 foot wall above the driveway and right beside where the Cardinal Climbers climb up the corner of the house. It would have looked so good there, in a pot, cascading down to the driveway, while the Cardinal Climbers twisted upward.

After that beautiful photo of yours, I'm definitely inspired to try this plant again next year. I will be sure to baby it until the weather is nice, and warm, and settled.

JP - Hummers are lucky to have you there and the neighbors also! Beautiful B&B's and the Russelia is gorgeous. Glad you have little ones enjoying the treats.
