Alternative hummer spots

While I usually focus on the feeders and hummingbird specific plants near the house, there are several locations on the farm that always seem to have hummingbirds around. The largest natural-growing, indigenous live oak tree in the United States is located about 10 miles away on an Indian reservation. While our oaks (pictured below) don't compare in size or age, they host numerous birds including hummingbirds.

And a couple years ago I planted five yellow Lantana plants on an eroding hillside. Now it is rich with hummingbirds and butterflies.

That hill of Lantana is amazing! I love lantana and wish it were more cold hardy such a carefree plant
