Thanks Pam. I'll collect the salvia seeds for you.

Also, Colonial nursery has some pretty large B&B and Coccineas in full bloom for $3. Molzon's has a gorgeous colored Agastache, summer fiesta, for $10.

I might take a look see at the Aastache, I was looking at a new form called Agastache aurantiaca
Coronado that Plant Select introduced. I'm looking for a source.

Suchie,

Saw a few left over butterflies at Sickles and picked up a few "specials". Remember to alert me next year when they have the butterfly release if your aware, I didn't know anything about that this year. It would have been a spectacular sight.

My purchases:
Crocosmia Lucifer budded but not bloomed yet - 1 gal $8
Purple 'Fan Blue' & Magenta 'Dark Fan Red' Lobelia - $5 for 2 gal pots (mostly spent but great find for next season) I think they were talking about trashing some of these plants tomorrow, maybe a dumpster dive is in order....I've been know to "rescue" a few plants that way.
And some marked down Phlox for the Butterflies. When you get a chance check the butterfly forum, I posted some neat pictures from my gardens over there.

Oh and a huge bag of "Bumper Crop" soil amendment/compost. Had some "muscle" with me today so I will finally get to give it a try.

They also had Salvia Greggii 'Ultra Violet", 1 gal was $8 I believe. I bought this from HCG early in the spring, very pretty purple blooms if you have a small spot still open....

They are really conserving there energy Suchie! I have seen one juvenile here. It is really working over the Agastaches more than any other plant. Our new WalMart has some that they brought in for the new store opening. I bought one pot when they first opened at $6.00. The ones that are left are marked down to $3.00 and I am thinking I may go back and get another. They are from Garden State Growers in Pittstown NJ. They were just labeled Agastache and there are two or three plants to a pot I think it is Acapulco Orange and A. Cana.

Susan,

Thanks for your comments and 'am delighted that you enjoyed the pics.

Penny,

They are going to need every bit of energy for their long journey south. I am glad you have a juvie to entertain you now and enjoy your garden. Our local nurseries have been carrying several Agastaches this season and I have been loading up too.
