Green-crowned Woodnymph

I wonder if itīs the case with the hummers you get up north including out west. There are several species here that I just canīt get flight shots of because they never hover momentarily near the feeder. They just zomm in and land immediately. This is one Iīd love to catch in flight!

He's pretty sitting down as well. The Buffies here are pretty hard to capture too.

That Plumage is gorgeous! He looks like he is all decked out for Mardi Gras!

As for them hovering for a spell before coming to a feeder...for me some do and some don't. Some zoom in and out while others will 'test' out the surroundings before perching at the feeder
