Since I haven't seen any Black-chinned in over three days, I have to assume they have probably left for the season. Now if the Rufous would only leave! There is one little guy who I think has been here for almost a month. He is so fat that he has trouble chasing the others away! This morning there were 4 of them "fighting" over one feeder. You'd think they would realize that with four feeders available, they could each have their own! I did see my female Costas and male Anna's yesterday as well as a female Anna's. They are the ones that stay all winter and use the feeder in the front window. Fortunately the Rufous have never found that feeder and have left them alone. In spite of their antics, I agree, I'm going to miss the other guys.
