Hi all!
I noticed one of my PerkyPet feeders (the 4 fountain glass model) has developed a strong sharp plastic odor inside it. Its less than a year old, but does get a LOT of heat and sun on my SE facing balcony(temps to 114 all summer). That being said, the Perky Pet Deluxe Rose Petal that is a couple feet away gets more heat and sun has no odor. Has anyone else run into this? I'm thinking I should replace it...? or is it harmless..?[linked image]

Thanks

Dana - Welcome to the forum! I have not idea why you have an odor coming from your Perky Pet 4 fountain feeder - doesn't sound good - maybe a defective feeder? I have had one for years and had no problems with it. Hope someone else can give you more information.

Thanks! I thought it odd, myself. The bottom part has two kinds of plastic, where the other model doesn't. I had seen some cheap plastic decorations with that smell. My concern is that it may be breaking down. Well, HD is 5 min away, and they carry 2 models of perky pet feeders with ant-moats...
