Been awhile since posting, but I've been popping in and enjoying your pictures and posts every week or so. Summers are a bit tough for birdwatching for me-it's up to 114 out on my balcony, and my hummers (wisely) feed early in the morning (while I'm still sleeping) or in the evening (while I'm working). I just rinse and refill the feeders 2-3x a week.
Thank goodness it's starting to cool, and there seems to be a lot of activity going on again. Don't know whether it's another batch of juveniles or some early migrators. I might have a chance to actually learn to use the digital camera.
Anyway, I finally got around to getting these 35mm fotos done from last April. Just a couple of "my" fledglings who nest in the olive tree across the driveway. My balcony seems to be a good flight training spot, rest area and snack bar.
"I think I'll just hang out here for awhile..."
"Maybe if we ignore her she'll go away..."
