Hello my forum friends...I just returned from a three week vacation visiting the DC area; Groton, CT and Syracuse , NY.
Our daughter in DC has hummingbird feeders up, but hasn't seen even one hummer this summer. She was a bit disappointed.
I was thrilled to find hummers still visiting my flowers and feeders when I returned yesterday. What a wonderful husband I have to have cleaned and filled the feeders while I was gone! He also kept the house clean and did all his laundry...he definitely is (and has always been) a keeper!

I have seen ONE and only one today. The last time was about 15 minutes ago (around 4:15p.m.) so I am biding my time. This is the absolute earliest that the hummers have left my area.

Don't give up hope yet! Keep remembering the ones we had around after the October storm.

I had three flying around this morning before I went to work- that's the most I've seen at one time all year.
