I concur that is a brilliant image. A wonderful little subject as well, I love how you caught that little patch of white next to the birds eye. Can we all converge you on you and have a hummer retreat.

OOOH how wonderful that would be Peter, "smiles and laughs" don't know how to do emoticons! When I win a lottery I'll be down there to see you along with loads of hummloving others! But seriously is it hard to travel to where you are?

Cheri no not at all. There are direct flights from Miami to Cali on American Airlines or Avianca every day. A little over three hours. There are lots of hummingbirds around but so far I havenīt met anybody with a yard list bigger than mine (twenty five species). I seem to be at the perfect altitude at around seven thousand feet.

That is really beautiful! The one time I saw this bird it was feeding on flowers. I like seeing hummingbirds at flowers but it is more difficult to appreciate all thier colors when they are flying.
