I have just been watching two females 'battling it out' this morning, on who should have ownership of certain a Stachytarpheta franzii shrub.
Couldn't get close enough, though, for a descent shot.

Susan and Susan - I am happy there are people that enjoy my photos, gifs, slideshows and videos. I would not spend the money nor the time to get them if I were the only one that enjoyed them.

Russ, I hope you don't mind but I stole your photo because it was such a great late Ruby-throat example. A woman here in South Jersey had posted photos of a very similar bird to yours asking what it was. I emailed her your photo to show her another example. I was outright theft and I apologize.
