Hummingbirder 2008

My lone hummer that shows up every so often is back. I think it's a female since I don't see any red on the throat area. Anyway she showed up yesterday and today. She is going to my firespike. I thought they also liked the firebush plant but she only goes to the firespike. She's ususally here for just a couple of min. and then off.

Glad to hear it Marilyn! Yes they do use the Firebush also but she may be able to get what she needs from your Firespike.

I find there is more use of the Firespike, especially later in the day.

Looking at some pictures of a Ruby throated hummer, it does seem that the one I have visiting is a female. As she has no red on her at all.
