I took these cuttings late have been trying to root them for a month or so and was losing faith they would do anything. I noticed a couple of inch long roots on a couple of the blue ensign, but I had almost totally given up on the tutti frutti cuttings. I had really ignored them for a while , but then today I noticed this.
I expected to see maybe a root or two if any but not this growth straight out of the node. doesnt appear to be any actual roots that I can see .
It is a stem shoot. A root should develop from that node where the shoot is growing.
I just finished separating and individually repotting 18 Stachytarphetas babies and 12 Cuphea micropetala babies

The stem root that wouldnt quit. Just for fun thought some might like to see the stem root now from tutti frutti although all leaves are long gone from main stem.
