I left home on May 7th and had seen no hmmers yet. I just returned on the 28th and saw them feeding many times yesterday and today! A BIG thank you to my, dear husband for keeping the feeders filled for me...he hadn't seen any in several days and thought he's done something wrong...nope!
I visited all of our kids and grandkids in the DC area and NC. I was even able to go to our daughter Wendi's ultrasound to determine whether the new grandbaby was a boy or girl. They already have a 3 1/2 yr. old little boy. This one is a girl...Eleanora Danielle, after my mother-in-law and my husband...he doesn't know the middle name yet! [linked image]
She will be called Ellie and unfortunately they are moving to Hawaii with the Navy soon after she is born, that makes me sad.

It does mean that we sill probably be making at least one visit to Hawaii sometime while they are there. Wendi and her next older sister were both born in HI and we have not returned in 31 years!!

I hope that all of my hummer forum friends have hummers feeding at their flowers and feeders by now, enjoy [linked image]
