There are at least 11 new sightings reported there on JN from 2-12 to 2-23 and two of those reported are from Va. They are not listed on Mannys map as yet possibly not reported there.

I think at least most of those sightings are overwinterers, not spring migrants. Over the next week we should start seeing a few flying up from Mexico.

Could be although last year on mannys map the first sightings were 2-23. Last time I checked on JN just 3 or4 days ago there was nothing.

The sighting descriptions suggest that a couple of the Texas sightings may possibly be new birds, but the rest suggest birds that have been around for a while. It's pretty cool to see so many winter sightings up the east coast.

Its hard to say for sure how many listed are new but after looking at the comments Im guessing 4 or 5 are new, nearly half of those listed.
