Not a close up, as I wanted to show the potted Pachystachys lutea AKA Golden shrimp plant blooms, that the Cinnamon hummer has at last decided to use on the patio.

That is a very good photo Patricia. It is funny that you posted this as I just came back from the farmer's market where I purchased a nice Justicia brandegeana. I had Pachystachys lutea a few years ago but the hummers never used it. I also had Justicia brandegeana and it got quite a bit of use.

My Justicia brandegeana plants are getting a lot of use.
I have some cuttings that have blooms on, just outside of the sitting room window and every afternoon about 5pm this hummer uses it plus the other visits throughout the day. He is now back'n'forth between the golden shrimp and the Justicia brandegeana. I also have some J. brandegeana that has a few blooms with some Russelia in a pot, and the hummers work that one over, as well.
I want to make a large raised planter and fill it with Justicia brandegeana plants, since the branches tend to hang down to the ground when it gets large!

This poor Justicia was completely pot bound and dried completely out in a short 4 inch pot. I had to completely saturate the root ball so I could loosen up the roots a little before putting it in a larger pot to insure that the roots got completely moist. I will have to repot it again but it already looks my happier and I expect those blooms to really take off now that it has some room to spread out a bit
