Terrific!

I'm not surprised at all to see a hummingbird at this flower. In my garden, it has always been one of their favorites. I tried to grow it this year, the Burpee Hummingbird Mix, off the seed rack, but it did not germinate for me when direct sown. I usually start it indoors to give it a head start, so I guess I'll go back to that method next year. I think the horrible heat wave might have been to blame.

Yes I started mine in doors plus some others that I direct sowed of which I have 4 that have come up so Im hoping for a nice crop of these next season. I planted mine in an area of sand and pebbles and such trying to make them feel a little more like home. This is first time Ive grown these in a few years.
