trying to work things out but sometimes the best thing to do IS walk away and not put yourself in further situations where problems can arise! It's a shame really. I know it's hard about what the others think but really do you honestly believe they don't see things with their own eyes? I mean, if this other kid is doing that to your son, don't you think they'd see it too? And maybe it's happening to their kids as well? And if they're "siding" with the bully - then who cares what they think anyway??? I have a son too and I know a little about this

I do think it's important to teach a child when to work it out, when to walk away and when to go to an adult to get help if it's not improving. These are hard life lessons. That's good the school is addressing it as well. I'm sorry you are going through this

P.S. And yes, pretty cowardly to be emailing instead of talking with you face to face!
