I am not sure if I have rosacea or some type of skin reaction when in the sun for extended periods. It's slightly frustrating. It started back one day when I was out in the sun working. I ended up itching badly and soon my arms were rashy looking. My face also had the same type of "rash". I had gone behind a big Azalea bush to turn on a water hose and thought maybe it was the plant on my skin that caused it. I took an antihistamine which helped calm the itching. My face however, has continued to flare from time to time, never really totally clearing. The other day I was working in my Mom's yard. I was out there for hours, and even though I wore sunblock, I still had a reaction. My arms were bad for a few days. While they are not as red now, I can still see the slightly raised areas on the skin. My face feels rough almost. It is like it has raised spots, redness... I am using the Sea Buckthorn oil on it. It is supposed to be anti-inflammatory. I am just not sure if what I have is rosacea or if it's something else related to the sun. I don't usually burn, have always tanned easily, so this is quite frustrating to not even be able to work outside without having this reaction. Just thought if anyone was familiar they might be able to tell me if this sounds like rosacea or something else. Oh yes, one more thing. Where my arms were bent while working, there is no redness or rash, as if the sun did not touch there, so no reaction.
