Response to Casey Torres deserves a shot

with the bantams next year. He'll be excellent with dealing with the parents. He's both approachable and parent-savy. And make no mistake about it, coaching rep in minor hockey requires excellent communication skills with both the players and parents.

But coaching in the OJHL requires a whole lot more than that. It requires;
- commanding the respect of players
- promoting your players for play beyond the OJHL
- strong ability to recognize and hand responsibility to the right players based on their skill sets
- sincerity
- strong interpersonal skills with local media
- proven results with championships on his resume at the OJHL level

He's got all of it in spades.

I wish him well in minor hockey head coaching.
