With the playoffs coming and now the number one ranking, it is time for Aurora to put up or shut up.
It will give any and every team more incentive to try and take a piece out of the Tigers now.
Unfortunately for the OP teams on the remaining Aurora schedule beginning with Durham tonight, the Tigers will have to take it to those teams in order to keep that ranking, because you know they will be looking for any reason to put a Western team back in the number one spot.
Only Aurora can remove themself from the list. We all know there is a formula for this. I dont think someone sits at there computer and picks the list. Not sure many people have the time you have to be doing stuff like that.
I doubt it takes Wex much longer than 2 minutes to copy and paste the Top 15 list from the CJHL link on the OPJHL site to a word or excel file - reformat it and post the info here. However, if you don't appreciate the time he spends posting info and moderating the forum then please find another place to "comment".
I guess the rating committee? could not deny the Tigers after last week's results. Nice to see an OPJHL team in the number 1 spot. Not to belabour the point, but quickly, how does Camrose stay ahead of Selkirk, Bowmanville and Wellington based on the records of each??
Anyway, it is great to see the OPJHL so well represented once again.
It's nice the Tigers are No. 1, good for them and the OPJAHL, but the rankings mean squat. The last two years I don't believe the Buzzers were even on the list during the regular season and they won the championship twice. Aurora is good team but not the dominant force the Tigers were when Marty coached them. No guarantee they get out of the North and if they do, no guarantee they beat the West. No. 1 ranking aside, it's a long way to go. Wexdog is right, it's put up or shut up time for the Tigers, who crashed and burned a year ago.
