Look for the North York players to boost their points totals tonight as the Panthers, according to the Pointstreak pre-game line up, only have eight regular skaters plus four call-ups and two goalies dressed...

Rangers win it 5-2...Not surprising considering the weather but I wonder if 37 is an all-time record low crowd?

Attendance

"...but I wonder if 37 is an all-time record low crowd?"

I know one thing, Ron. I would guess that attendance figure is accurate.

Judging from some inflated attendance figures at some games posted on Pointstreak in the past, cudos to those who posted this one.

In a different vein, when are we going to get together for that OPJHL playoff championship of Lake Ontario?

The Red Wings on the west end versus the Voyageurs on the east end?

I am still dreaming of it one day.

I was hoping for this match-up when our eldest daughter was at Queen's but it never transpired as you know...perhaps this time around. The Wings have had, to say the least, a very turbulent season but they are now playing their best hockey with everyone contributing, however the Blades will be a tough nut to crack here in the West.

"...the Blades will be a tough nut to crack here in the West."

Last year's Brampton Capitals, with 81 points in the regular season, thought they wouldn't fall either. They won the west regular season and were the only regular season winner who did not win their playoff divisional crown. But that was last year.

You just never now when the playoffs come around, Ron.

I did know that your daughter was attending Queen's and you had hoped for a Kingston/Hamilton league final. I remember taking about it like it was yesterday.

Keep it coming, Ron. The Hamilton Red Wings are the defending West champions. Getting that 1st round bye is important for them.

Last Year...

"Last year's Brampton Capitals, with 81 points in the regular season, thought they wouldn't fall either. They won the west regular season and were the only regular season winner who did not win their playoff divisional crown."

That's incorrect...

The Vaughan Vipers won the South Regular Season title last Season...

The Pickering Panthers defeated Vaughan in 7-games in the 2nd round of the playoffs to advance to the South Conference Final...

Thanks, JPM

Thanks for straightening me out, JPM

The Vipers also fell prey to winning a first place in regular season only to lose in the playoffs.

The Pickering Panthers, did indeed, beat them.
