BLUES LOOK TO NEW SEASON

The question of the future of the Collingwood Blues was answered this week.

C.O.O. Dan McIlhone issued these statements this week.

Dan McIlhone the C.O.O of the Collingwood Blues Junior A Hockey Club is please to announce the appointment of Darrell Mussell as the teams new Director of Hockey Operations. Dan and Darrell have been in discussion for several weeks with regards to ways in which Darrell could become part of the organization, and contribute to the team as well as the Town in continuing the tradition of hockey in Collingwood. " I have had lots of discussions with many people over the last few years with them wanting to step in and help make a difference within the club, Darrell is the first one that had a plan and wants to see through the implementation phase and become a guy that lets his actions speak for themselves", McIlhone said.

Mr. Mussell has a vast education and background in sports administration and business. He brings to the Blues ten years experience in hockey programming and coaching. He is currently coaching in Collingwood Minor Hockey and is co-owner of Georgian Bay Hockey Academy here in Collingwood.

Mr. Mussell is looking forward to working with the Town of Collingwood to promote the Town and community throughout Ontario, and creating opportunities for our local minor hockey organizations and continuing the pursuit of making the Blues a symbol of excellence in the Georgian Bay hockey Community.

The Blues are planning special events for the final three home games of the season.
