I will see you for a couple of those Port Hope games in Port Hope.

It seems the Preds picked it up after your tongue lashing of them not long ago on this forum. They won a couple of season-ending big games to assure themselves of 3rd place.

Now some people may not have liked the fact that you mentioned a couple of names in your post about the Preds. Like it or not, do you think maybe someone was paying attention?

Good luck in the playoffs. Is it nice to have 2 teams (Eagles and Preds) to cheer on?

Arena is small and a bit on the dark side.Only 3 rows of seats but they are on both sides of the ice surface.Same seats as Wellington.(No backrests)

Call me crazy, but I don't really think that going to Minden will make a big difference. On friday night there was a good crowd, with time to market this game on Sunday I think the crowd will be even better, and the Muskies have some current players from Minden, and some former players from there as well. The Mitch Vasey supporters were out in full force on friday night, and they were fun to listen to. I'm sure when Aaron Keaney hits the ice, his supporters will be there too!

We might win a long series, we might get swept...either way the playoffs were a dream at Christmas time, and now we're there, I'm gonna enjoy the ride, and no CUPE strike is going to stop that.

That's the way to talk, Muskie

Do enjoy the ride. As you indicated, the playoffs did not look like a possibility early on. But, the after Christmas regular season is often a different one than the pre- Christmas one. The Muskies' fortunes began to change when highly-regarded coach Brett Meyers came on board and they acquired some good pickups in Mock, Taylor,Kay and Davis. Goaltender Matt Ginn gave Nerland some much needed competition.

Ron;
With that home record at the Dave of the Hamilton Red Wings (15-10-0), home ice wasn't very important to neither the Wings nor the Muskies this year.

The fact they play in nearby Minden should not be a factor in the outcome of this series.

The sad part is that Muskie home fans will be cheated of playing in their own rink with some pretty good numbers for gate receipts. Though many fervrent Muskie fans are likely to make the short jaunt to Minden, there might not be as many as there would be in Lindsay.

"...Same seats as Wellington.(No backrests)"

Does that include the Wellington stapled blankets to the Dukedome spectator benches?

There was the old story around when the former Trenton Sting team was involved in hotly-contested playoff rounds with the Dukes. The sale price of Sureshot Staplers at the local Canadian Tire store was reportedly increased threefold by the Duke faithful. This so they could guarantee their seats at the Dukedome for the playoffs.

Look forward to seeing you.  Hopefully the little one won't have a cold and I can bring him along.  So you can see your handy work in action.  You had to teach him the stinger didn't you.

No some didn't but most that spoked to me agreed with my assesment.  My post didn't contain anything that hasn't been said in a conversation at a local coffee shop after a game or I am sure by the coach to the players.  These young men are reported on by name by local sports reporters, scouts from NCAA and the NHL.  You'd think my opinion on their game play would be meaningless.

In my opinion the last couple of games Temple has stepped up his game been pinching and yes keeping the puck in.  Miller is starting to live up to his title of player of the month.  Giving the second effort and not slithering off like he has in the past when the play hasn't gone his way.  Rumour has it that my post was printed off blown up and posted in the dressing room for all to see.  To think a simple forum post could change a teams outcome a little far fetched to me.  You never know though.

Just incase Koverko needs to quit being fancy when he's the last man back.  He has given the puck away a couple of occasions the last two games and at least one leading to a goal.  Son if you want to play forward ask the coach to switch you to that position.  To the other D men quit passing the bloody puck so much SHOOT IT!!!  no hesitation.  To the forwads for the love of god would at least one stand in front of the net and screen the goaltender.  Not all goals have to be HON canidates take out the trash and get a garbage goal.   3 in the corner get the puck throw it out front oh look juicy rebound no one there to pick it up besides the opposition.  Park a guy in front of the net and let the D men shoot it.  Here's a hint  actually hitting the net area is helpful.

Want to really see if I have any influence which I don't believe I do.  New line for the playoffs.  Christiano, McCarty, Stoughton.  Call them the Heart and Soul line three guys that never quit and give 100% every shift.  If you see it in the first then there is the proof you need Wayjoy that someone is listening.  If you don't proof I have no influence so the other readers don't need to be upset and just well that's his opinion and I don't agree with it and that's OK.

It is nice to have two teams to follow with Cobourgs late season improvement it could be three teams next season.  The hockey widow might not be so impressed with three teams but I wouldn't mind in the least.
