Short on rent this month eh Wexdog? lol $200...I doubt he could even count that high!

Aurora will take this series regardless of who's in or out of the lineup. Make no mistake, Orangeville will compete but at the end of the day, Aurora is still Aurora (defending RBC champs for pete's sake!) come playoff time despite not having their best season in recent memory.

As for the Terriers/Spirit, it's a definite toss up but I'll go with...

...Couch; based solely on the fact that Newmarket's had more success against them this season than Stouffville.

Aurora may still be Aurora, but how many players on that roster are RBC Cup winners?

Four players on the present Tiger roster are back from last year's RBC Tigers.

#3 - Connor McGarry - def
#23 - Jordan Watts - Fwd
#15 - Mark Mayea - Fwd
#7 - Capt: Mark Thorburn - Fwd

However, I would like to point out that last year's RBC Tiger team had only 1 previous RBC winner, Doug Henderson.

Ok, four returning players. So would it be safe to say this is NOT THE SAME TEAM THAT WON THE RBC last year?

They had 1 returning player who was an RBC winner, but they also had the South division All- Star team. And a heck of a lot more.

Toronto Maple Leafs= Ford Motor Company

Of course it is not the same team as last year, it's only 18% of last year's team. By the same token the 2007 RBC Tigers were not the same team as the 2004 RBC Tigers.

What is your point??

My point is the fact that almost every team is rebuilt year after year from the ground up and KewlHockey's point of "Make no mistake, Orangeville will compete but at the end of the day, Aurora is still Aurora (defending RBC champs for pete's sake!) come playoff time despite not having their best season in recent memory." has no merit.

What happens in the past is in the past and the teams change so much every year that past history doesn't matter. Any team should have a decent shot every year.

When you consider the Aurora Tiger's record over the past years especially prior to 2008, where they have finished in 1st place for 5 years straight and have won the RBC twice in 4 years, then I agree with "Kewl" that they have to be considered as contenders each year even though their players may change year to year. The Tiger organization have obviously developed a winning formula over the years regardless of annual player changes. I think this is what "Kewl" is saying when he refers to being RBC Champions. What other team in the OPJHL can match the record of the Tigers?

It's sort of like years ago when the Montreal Canadians were the cream of the NHL. No matter how their roster changed from season to season you still had to always consider them favourites to win the Stanley Cup.

I get what you're saying about the team management selecting the best of the best, but with the exception of the few players on the team that won it all last year, they are an unproven squad.

That being said, I don't think they'll have any problems with the Crushers. The round after that will be much more interesting.

I would like to think that the Tigers will get by Orangeville, but you never know, the Crushers are not going to hand it to them on a Platter.

If the Tigers move on to the Hurricanes, you better believe it will be very interesting. The Canes will be out to break the "jinx" of not being able to beat the Tigers in a North playoff since 1997/98. On the other hand the Tabbies will be out to maintain their playoff dominance over the Canes.

The result will be a series that may even rival the excitement and closeness of their fantastic North Semi Final of last year. How much better than last year, we will find out in the next 2 weeks. Don't know if I can survive another "heart stopping" series, being another year older.

GO TIGERS GO
