It looks like the Couchiching Terriers may be all but done as they trail the Stouffville Spirit 5-1 at the end of the 1st period in Stouffville. Unless the Terriers pull something out of the hat in the 2nd period this series will be over and the Spirit will be setting their sights on the Huntsville Otters.

SMC .

But a Spirit/Otters series could be a pretty good series.

I may have to dig out my old Spirit cap that CSTR gave me a couple of years ago.

If I should venture up that way for a glimpse at that series.

I want to make sure that Craigshaw and SMC know me.

The Stouffville/Huntsville series is going to be a great one and the Spirit will be very tough. The Otters will have to play their best in each and every game. The Spirit have a history of toughness in the playoffs. The Tigers have met them the last 2 years in the North Final. In 2006 the Spirit defeated the Tigers for the North Championship, after the Tigers finished well ahead in 1st place, while last year the Tigers were the Victors.

Both the Stouffville/Huntsville and the Aurora/Newmarket series, in my opinion, will be toss ups. Goaltending will be, in the end, the determining factor as to who will take the series.

Anyway you look at it, we have some exciting Junior hockey coming up in the North over the next couple of weeks.

GO TIGERS GO
