16 year old Corey Bureau has decided that the OHL is the route for him. After receiving several NCAA Division One offers, Corey has signed with the OHL's Mississauga St Mikes Majors. Corey made his debut Wednesday and will accompany the team up north to Sault Ste Marie and Sudbury before heading back to Wellington on Sunday to prepare for the Dukes playoffs.
" Corey has had an outstanding season for us and deserves all the attention he receives. He had several NCAA schools wanting his services. It does not surprise me that the Majors made it a priority to have Corey sign. This goes to show that playing Junior 'A' hockey can open a lot of doors for players who are committed" stated Dukes GM/Coach Marty Abrams.
Congratulations Corey, I hope your OHL career is as successful as your minor hockey and OPJHL careers.
Good to see another bright young star moving on after a stint in the OPJHL. It really speaks volumes about the quality and talent in the league today!!
