i think that he will have something to say on tuesday night. I think that newmarket will be getting back at the tigers, but won't win the series. they will try to get back their reputation. some of the tiger fans probably think that it is over for newmarket, but i doubt that. Even though most of their players wereplaying pretty bad i think that savge just had a bad game. He would have been able to make some of those saves i am sure but that is ok every team has a bad game.

i think that gohurricanesgo and huntotter have a lot in common.
I am just saying that newmarket usaly plays good in the playoffs.newmarket will not give up and that is my oppion. huntsville definatly has been playing better seeing how they can beat stouffville 5-3. aurora and stouffville are pretty even teams.
Don't blame the Hurricane's loss on Savage. How can you play well in net when your team gets 15 penalties in the 3rd period, hangs you out to dry and then your coach leaves the bench. If the Canes lose tomorrow night, you can put a fork in them they will be done. Soso and company will have to clean up their act and stay out of the penalty box, I don't think they can.
i'm not blaming it all on savage, i said that the team was playing bad and savage would have been able to make some of those saves.

Another shot at Soso, eh SMC? You know it's funny, for a guy Aurora fought so hard to get at the start of the season you sure like to cut the guy up these days! By now I'd have thought you guys would've come to terms with the fact he picked Nemwarket over Aurora (heaven forbid!) wow.
Besides, it's hard to give any kind of educated comment on the game when you weren't even there in person, especially after one or two glances at the scoresheet, so please, continue to scout out the best available Florida golf courses with free tee times for the Tigers for late next week and we'll all be happy.
Of course I did, Soso is the key to the Canes winning or losing. Just check on how many of Hosmer's goals he assisted on. When Soso stays on the ice, the opposing teams are in trouble.
I played with and coached a lot of Soso's, we used to call them "coache's nightmares". Off hand, NHLers Howie Young and Brian Spencer come to mind, great talents but couldn't stay out of the box.
As you know, some people only read what they want to read and conclude only what they want to conclude.
You will like this, I was walking the beach yesterday and a guy stopped me and asked if I was Craig McTavish, boy word sure gets around fast. Enjoy tonight, I'm off to the Boccia Ball court, lawn bowling on sand.
....on the goalies alone. The Hurricanes have done this meltdown act before during the season. They won't get away with it in a short series, which this will be if they can't get their heads on straight, and the goalies don't make the big save at the right time. Both goalies seemed fine until Tigers started to put pressure on them. In game two, it was the third period when the Tigers started to play the pressure game the way they can, and the goalie didn't respond with that "monster" save that takes the wind out of an offence's sails. Same thing in game three, and the 'Canes imploded.
The 'Canes will need the best goaltending of the year out of whoever Perrin chooses, probably Milne, and then will have to play the game on offence and not in their zone. If not, they will take defensive zone penalties, which will lead to goals against, and eventually another "meltdown".
The 'Canes must forget they are in the Dudley regardless, because if they continue to play as they did Sunday, it will be a shortlived Dudley for them.
As for the Togers....keep the pedal to the metal, and the 'Canes will be hardpressed to respond to the pressure.
Tigers in six...max.
I think the Cane's have the best consolation prize going. For all their struggles in the post-season, they'll have some time to rest and meet a banged up OPJHL team in the Dudley.
If they play badly enough to get eliminated early, will they automatically get better while waiting?
It's not a given they will get smarter, get better goaltending, and tighten up their "D" by having a mini training camp preping for the Dudley.
i kind of agree with you there vintage guy and i kind of don't. newmarket does have a good chance to get some more strength for their team, but then again, they won't have their practice against stronger teams like huntsville or st. mikes or for an example because those are the kind of teams they will be facing in the dudley and possibly rbc if they are good enough
I would not want to chance going in rusty in a short round robin. They may not a have a choice the way they are playing. They have to come up big tonight, or they are in serious dooo dooo.

SMC - He was referring to their usual game misconducts for what I'd assume were some choice words for the official from the penalty box. No real explanation given other than the PA announcement which referred to it as as "misconduct"...kinda vague.

Furthermore, there's nothing much to complain about at all here. Aurora outplayed, outhustled and essentially out-everythinged Newmarket despite their early 2-0 lead. I wasn't aware of where the referee was from, does he normally work the Jr. A loop?
Some god awful giveaways by the Newmarket D (including a wonderful breakout pass up the middle that was easily picked off leading to an easy Tiger's goal...Grapes would be proud), even worse goaltending (the tandem has no confidence at the moment which shows in their bumbling of routine saves and giant rebounds) and a loss of composure among the players for the third game in a row (haven't looked at the scoresheet yet but I counted at at least three or four goals on the PP for Aurora not to mention Soso and McQuade's misconducts towards the end of the game) have the Canes on the ropes at the moment.
I don't like to be the bearer of bad news here but Thursday night will be the last game played at the RTC until mid-April, mark my words! This one's all over but the crying folks! Aurora is peaking at the right time while Newmarket is letting their frustrations boil over and it's taking its toll on the entire team's overall peformance on the ice.
Is it too late to jump on the Otters or Spirit bandwagons? lol

the abuse penalties they took is 500 bucks each or two games. i would assume they will pay the fine.
Craig, I can see the $500.00 or 2 games for coaches and bench staff, but I can't find it for players. From what I see it is $150.00 each for the players 1st offences or 2 games, then it goes on from there to a max of $450.00 each or 4 games.
Please clarify where you got the $500.00 fine or 2 games for player's abuse of officials.
