They should hire those Detroit guys who drafted their players in the latest of rounds, CSTR .

Such Detroit stalwarts as Lidstrom, Zetterberg and the like were very late draft picks that apparently no one else saw anything in.

They turned into pretty good players, didn't they.

Leafs did about as much as they could given the non trade clauses and over priced salaries. For what they shed I thought they got a good return. Speaking of Detroit how about picking up Cleary after the lock out who had no, zero offers. Former Belleville Bull is now injured but has 20 goals! Also former Wellington Duke, Matt Cooke was traded to Washington today for another Matt (Pelltier?). Can't keep those Dukes out of things at any level!!

I'm just glad the Leafs did not do anything stupid and trade some of the younger guys. Good return considering what they were trading and it frees up some roster spots for some young guys. Of course, the Marlies are playing more meaningful hockey, so maybe we should leave them where they are.
