The Toronto Junior Canadiens just can't take the easy road to victory.

Tonight's game saw them play a solid first period with neither team capitalizing.

The second period saw the Buzzers score twice by the midway point of the period before the Canadiens scored twice to tie it with the second goal coming on a penalty shot with half a minute to play. Not to be outdone, the Buzzers scored with a handful of second left on the clock.

Jared Docking finally tied the game at 14:53 and David Titanic scored about four minutes later to give the JC their first lead of the game. The Buzzers repeated their last minute heroics, tying the game with the extra man with less than 4 seconds left to play in the game.

Brent Tamane scored the game winner, shorthanded in the overtime period on a tremendous solo effort. Hopefully the Buzzers video crew can assemble the highlights from this truly exciting game.

The series heads back to Chesswood for game 4 Thursday night.

I have always thought that the JC were a well coached team. Tonight's effort was stunning. They played one hell of a game and it left me amazed on how they've adjusted from the hard hitting cheap style of hockey that the North York Rangers tried to win with, to just plain good fast run and gun hockey the way the Buzzers play.

I have no idea how the rest of this series will go. The Buzz certainly need to find their defence again.

One thing that amazes me ... is how the JC can play so well in this league with a couple of guys who are 150 lbs soaking wet!

I am going to try to but it takes 4-5 hours of dedicated time to make it happen. Time that comes after-hours and somewhere between sleep/eat/hockey.

CSTR you are so right - 140 lbs of heart.

The game last night back at the Buzz-Barn was more what I like. At times both teams looked even, but at times the Buzz came out of their funk and controlled the game like they did most of the season. They look fragile right now, but ... at times, totally in control.

They won another game. But honestly, I also think that the Jr C laid off a bit. Neither team will go far unless they can get consistant.

Still ... a lot of fun to watch.

Interesting to see what happens on sunday night.
