Are you are trying to say the Dukes were wrong by having the #1 PP out on the 5-on-3 with a 5-1 lead? I have to disagree with you....this is playoffs and Jr.A hockey, you have to send a message. The Eagles may win tonight, but I highly doubt it. If they do win, it's the only win they will get.

Well DJ here we go agreeing again! I can't see any reason not to have the number 1 unit out there.

This isn't minor hockey where you pay to play. This is junior hockey, and junior A PLAYOFF hockey as well. You play to win and this should be the case to every other team. By scoring that many goals, you take the wind out of the other teams sails which is what you want to do, especially in PLAYOFFS. If you leave it at 5-1 and then the Eagles get a goal, they are right back in it. You want respect, that's what you get at the end of the series when the 2 teams shake hands, out of respect for one another. I'm sorry, but to say a team should let up in the playoffs, or at any other time, is just ridiculous.

I don't think the Dukes were guilty of running up the score at all, i just think that they were making bowmanville pay for being stupid. mackie was running around all night looking to fight someone but anytime someone stepped up mackie shut up and left.

Ekelman was lucky to last the game when taking a cheap shot at the dukes tender. A fan told me that it looked almost like a play from last year against kingston when a guy named revell(sp?) ran the dukes goaltender and was suspended.

Wellington showed again why they are the class of the east and I really think that who ever comes out of the east will definitely take the south. Watch many games this season in the south division and the goaltending and defense are not strong. Wellington plays very disciplined and makes you pay on the powerplay.

The way the Dukes are playing right now, I would not want to be their next opponent.
