as much as i hate to say it the otters didnt pull off the win tonight at home. hats off to trevor oneill for a great series between the pipes shutting down the powerful otters offense. should be a good series for the north final but will stouffville be ready to go by friday after the physical series with the otterS?

mcquigge, carnegie and bannerman were the best referee combo i have seen all season

A stunning upset

Craigshaw . I did not expect it at all.

But the Stouffville Spirit, in an emotional 7 game series did! When it goes to a seventh game, anything can happen and neither team can be considered an overwhelming favourite.

The Otters had a great season. I, for one, had chosen them to win the North playoff. As usual, it just proves that the regular season and the playoffs are indeed, different seasons

As CSTR has so graciously corrected me previously, the Spirit will be playing in their 3rd straight North playoff final. That is quite an accomplishment.

It treads on the water of the perennially successful teams St. Michael's, Aurora and Wellington.

But, as often happens when a team is emotionally spent like the Spirit might be right now, they are easy pickings for their next round opponents.

Stay tuned.

aurora will not have an easy time with the spirit. the tigers will have to contain werek macintosh and archibald and somehow get some pucks past oneill. should be a great series.
