| - What is up with the Leafs ?
Sens, it seems, are not going to wait for the playoffs to choke this season. lol
What the hult happened to Vaughan Vipers ? Swept, four and done. Wow, I was shocked.
Newmarket; Next Champs or is that Chumps ? lol
Disappointed to see Huntsville get knocked off.
Wellington is rolling along. I expected a little more from Kingston though.
The usual suspects are kicking it in gear at the right time ... again.
Go Leafs !
Go Raptors !
Go Argos !
How about them Cowboys !

I too, was shocked at the Huntsville Otters' exit, Wexdog . They had retooled into being one of the best teams in the OPJHL.
I was really hoping that they would see the North's king pin, Aurora. But the Stouffville Spirit had something to say about that.
The excellence of Ethan Werek has really lifted the Spirit to heights above what they could have imagined. Good for them.
Playoffs are always another story.
And yes, I did expect so much more from Kingston. Did I expect too much or is Wellington that good? I suspect a little of both is true.
Hurry up and get back.
There still is a lot of hockey to be played.

Hey Wexie... good to see you back!
Im off with the Mrs & kiddies for a March Break baseball trip.
Saw the Jays get clobbered by the Yanks yesterday. Was sitting just in front of George Steinbrenner's private box. He and son Hank were at the game.
Was in Dunedin today and the Jays looked much better beating the Pirates.
Scott Rolen & David Eckstein are looking like great pickups. AJ Burnett was ok today.
Tomorrow I see them play the Indians in Winter Haven, Friday the Rays in St.Pete's, then back in Dunedin on Sat. vs the Pirates again. Sunday is the only day I don't see a game... gotta give the family a break!
Was also at the Islanders-Lightning game last night. Lecavalier had a hat-trick.

"wingfan"
In my day De La Salle couldn't hold a candle to St Michaels in scholastics or sports. I played football at SMC also and we used to "whip" the Oaklands continually. In hockey they weren't even in our league.
Do enlighten me on the Del La Salle in Aurora comment, that one went completely over my head. Are you saying that De La Salle was situated in Aurora many many years ago?? |

De La Salle was never located in Aurora, in fact Del was always located within the boundaries of Toronto ever since 1851 when they moved from Montreal. Without going into the background of the Order of Brothers that founded Del, they are not Priests, check Del's history on their website.
Having not lived in Aurora until 1989, the building that you refer to I believe is the one on the North/West corner of Yonge Street & Bloomington. When I was a kid, my family used to drive by the building on the way up to our cottage on Lake Simcoe. I was always told that it was a school for "wayward girls" there were a few around the Toronto area at that time. Later it became, I believe, a Nursing Home. At present I think it is occupied by the OPP.
Maybe some born and bred "Aurorians" can give us more exact information on the building.
