If ST. Michael's wins, they obviously get home ice advantage due to having more points than Wellington.

However, how would it work if Markham wins? Is is still by points, or does it go by Division winner in regular season, as opposed to Markham, the non Division winner?

Regular season points.
doesn't seem fair since there is no head to head or common opponents. but it is what it is.

I guess that means that the Dukes will be considered the underdogs in the next series.

It pains me to say this but

The Wellington Dukes are good. Good enough to beat the eventual South winner. I say this because for a couple of reasons.

The Dukes are a better team than the one last year. That one beat a better St.Michael's team than the Buzzers are this year.

And secondly, by the time St. Mike's and Markham are done, the winner of a tough 6 or 7 game series could be both emotionally and physically drained....easy pickings for a well rested Duke team.

Mark these words. You read it here.

Stay tuned.

Wellington in 5. I remember a couple of years (when the Dukes went to the RBC) back everyone was saying that Markham was going to beat the Dukes easily and they swept them, I believe (I may be wrong on the sweep, it might have been 5).
