Percy did a great job with the re building Eagles. He shouldnt of trade Webster and Dincko???. He made a huge mistake trading two local players. The way he handle the Oakley trade was again wrong. Cash doesnt buy championships only players. But he did do a job with no money. Percy next time surround yourself with people you can trust. You will last longer.
Good Luck.

Truth_man - the Webster trade worked out for all. Troy got to play and garnered the respect he deserved in Cobourg. Danny came over to the Eagles, played hard, and helped the team in the playoffs. He pushed Azzano, and now Azzano will be ready for the #1 spot next year - since Dan is headed off to NCAA. Percy has a lot to offer any team in this league, and I hope he lands on his feet - money or no money!!
Azzano will dominate with that experience, the kid is a keeper...try this senerio...Ownership and money problems,no money for players,13 graduating players,no disrespect, but 3 or 4 of returnees were 4th liners on last years team.Quality coach leaves, and some true leaders in the organization leaves.Manager takes over builds a structure, hires someone who becomes coach of the year, makes the playoffs, and upsets the favered Stars(buy the way, just as far as the favered eagles team did the year before)developed a solid necleous for next year. Most would say.....priceless! obviously some would say not good enough.....

When Harding brought Clarky in, everything turned around. Hopefully, when the owners are looking for a manager, they find someone who has the vision to use the current players and bring them up from a level of 3rd or 4th line, to at least 2nd. Someone is going to have to find a couple of snipers to at least replace Shalla. They will also need a very strong young goaltender to keep Azzano hungry for top spot. Will be interesting to see who gets the honour!!!!
Anyone know the link to the Clarington News Article published yesterday. Apparently an interview with Peter Neal one of the owners of the Eagles. Can't seem to find it online.
